This past May, I once again decided to pack up the car and head west for another season as a National Park Ranger. The images above are some of the crown jewels from the westbound spring journey as well as the high summer in Washington State. I spent four months in the rainforest of Olympic National Park, about 45 minutes from the rugged Olympic Coast and about four hours from Mount Rainier. Many of these images are from these two areas, which have become two of my favorite locales in North America. The autumnal journey took me through many parts of the southwest, including Zion, Bryce, the Navajo Lands, Arches, and my old home of SW Colorado. It was, to say the least, a good journey.
